Museum Assistant to the Executive Director
Fall 2024 Intern, Museum Studies

I am the assistant to the executive director in the Georgia Museum of Natural History (GMNH) as well as a first-year student in the MA in Museum Studies program.

While earning my BA in Anthropology from UGA, I worked in curation at the Laboratory of Archaeology and completed the GMNH internship in museum administration with Dr. Victor Thompson. I have participated in a range of exhibition projects in museums across campus as well as field projects in Poland and here in Georgia. My research interests include inclusive sex estimation methodologies in bioarchaeology as well as how museum displays can expand cultural understandings of gender.

I am very excited to have the privilege of joining the inaugural cohort of the MA in Museum Studies program, and I look forward to learning more about how museums operate and evolve. Already, I have overseen the movement of collections and renovation of facilities in the GMNH, and I will use what I learn in this program to further this progress.

When not in the museum, I enjoy playing video games and watching old movies with my partner and cat.
