What are your interests (academic & otherwise): Bioarchaeology, human rights, art history, and travel

What are you doing with your collection during your internship: Cataloging an photographing the osteological collection at the Health Science Campus; determining the likely age, ancestry, sex, etc. of skeletal materials; ensuring NAGPRA compliancel creating 3D scans of skeletal elements for reproduction and use for teaching materials

What made you want to do an internship with GMNH: I've loved my classes with Dr. Reitsema that have given me experience with the elements and pathologies of the human skeleton, as well as previous experience at the Laboratory of Archaeology that familiarized me with the cataloging and provenance of archaeological materials. This opportunity felt like the perfect way to combine my interests and past experiences, as well as ensure proper and ethical stewardship of these materials.
